L2: Empuraan will be streaming from 24 April only on JioHotstar. The Mollywood blockbuster is heading to OTT four weeks after its theatrical release.
Taking to social media, actor Mohanlal made the announcement regarding the streaming date. The actor played a larger-than-life character in the political action thriller.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, Empuraan has been lauded for its rich production design. Co-starring Tovino Thomas as a Chief Minister and Manju Warrier as a contender for the top post, the film features a post-credits scene. Its third edition will be made a couple of years from now.
“The film was made on a Rs 180 crore budget. It was released in standard, IMAX, and EPIQ formats. Despite controversies, it received positive reviews and emerged as the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all-time and the second highest-grossing Indian film of the year,” a report says.
With music by Deepak Dev, L2: Empuraan’s cinematography is by Sujith Vaassudev. Edited by Akhilesh Mohan, the film also features Indrajith Sukumaran, Jerome Flynn, Andrea Tivadar and others.
