Aditya 369 is considered India’s first authentic sci-fi movie. Directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, the movie stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead.
This Summer, Sridevi Movies is going to re-release the movie in theatres. A 4K version is being readied to ensure that a new generation of cinema-lovers gets to experience the spectacle.

The film, considered a classic, also featured Mohini, Amrish Puri, Tinnu Anand, and Suthivelu. The legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja and Jandhyala composed its music and wrote its dialogues, respectively. Sridevi Movies produced it. Producer Sivalenka Krishna Prasad has talked about the highlights of the movie while announcing its re-release. His late uncle, SP Balasubrahmanyam, was the man behind the fruition of the project.
A sequel will be made:
Aditya 369’s sequel has been nothing short of a dream project for Balakrishna. In December last year, he made his sequel plans official. Aditya 999 Max will be made sometime.
Balakrishna’s upcoming movie:
Balakrishna is currently doing Akhanda 2: Thandavam under the direction of Boyapati Sreenu. It stars Aadhi Pinisetty, Samyuktha and Pragya Jaiswal in other key roles. Daaku Maharaaj, directed by Bobby Kolli, is Balakrishna’s most recent theatrical release. It started streaming on Netflix the other day.
