The most-awaited mass entertainer Double iSmart starring Ram Pothineni and Kavya Thapar, is all set for its global release on August 15, 2024. Helmed by maverick Puri Jagannadh, Double iSmart is the sequel to his blockbuster mass movie ‘iSmart Shankar’.
The makers of Double iSmart had arranged a lavish pre-release event on Sunday, which was attended by the cast and crew, as well as enthusiastic fans. Director Puri Jagannadh, who addressed the gathering during the event, revealed quite interesting things about the kind of support he has, from the film industry.
Puri Jagannadh said, “Liger was a failure, as we all know. Vijayendra Prasad Garu, Rajamouli’s father, called me. He inquired about the release date of my upcoming film. I am not sure, I said. He then requested to see the script for my upcoming film.”
“Vijayendra Prasad Garu requested me to share my script so that he could see past its inadequacies and ensure my success, saying that it is tough for him to watch someone like me receive such flops. I receive love like this from my cinematic fraternity,” Puri said.
