First recognition is always special. It’s a memory to be cherished for a lifetime. What if such a recognition fills you with faith in yourself? One such recognition was today recalled by Megastar Chiranjeevi in a nostalgic post.
The Vishwambhara actor shared a picture from five decades ago. It was on this day in 1974 that Chiru performed on stage in a play named ‘Rajeenama’. The performance fetched him the Best Actor award, boosting his confidence. Years later, he would become the reigning star of Telugu cinema.

The venue was Yerramilli Narayana Murthy College, Narsapur, a place he holds close to his heart. The Waltair Veerayya actor regards the college as a special place where he built special memories. In 2022, he participated in the college’s Alumni meet.
Chiranjeevi made it a point to also mention in the name of the play’s author. “Mr. KSSV Prasada Rao, II B.Com., Best actor of the college 1974-75,” is written on the decades-old photograph.
