Today, September 28, Dynamic director of Telugu cinema, Puri Jagannadh is celebrating his 53rd birthday. The social media is filled with birthday wishes for him, from his peers to friends from the film industry.
The special birthday message which caught all the attention is from Vijay Deverakonda, who will star in his next directorial film Fighter. On the special day of Puri Jagannadh, Vijay Deverakonda took to his Twitter handle and penned a special note to wish him. He wrote, “@purijagan sirrrrrr. Happy happy birthday to you. You make me happy, happy fighting my battles, happy as an actor, happy as a person. This special movie brought us together, but I will always hold you close to my heart beyond cinema (sic.)”

The ace filmmaker, who is known for inducing body language and powerful dialogue delivery for his lead actors, has given many blockbuster entertaining hits to the Telugu audience like Idiot, Pokiri, Desamuduru and Shivamani to name a few. His last release Ismart Shankar starring Ram Pothineni, Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal has been a huge blockbuster too.
Meanwhile, the Fighter team has been shooting in Mumbai with lead actress Ananya Panday in March but was put on halt due to Coronavirus lockdown. Vijay Deverakonda recently flew down to Mumbai to reportedly resume the shoot of the film. However, an official confirmation is awaited. The film is jointly produced by Puri Jagannadh’s Puri Connects and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy will be seen in pivotal roles. Fighter will be a pan Indian film, which will be released in Telugu, Hindi and other South languages.
