Movies with great scripts and characters always impress the audience. However, it is hard to impress the critics, who present a true picture of the merits and demerits of a movie.
Film Companion, the premier online network which features noted Indian critics like Anupama Chopra, Baradwaj Rangan and Rahul Desai, came up with an exhaustive list of 100 greatest performers of Indian cinema, covering all the active film industries in India.
Tollywood has a commendable presence in the list, with South sensation Vijay Deverakonda topping the list for his classic, Arjun Reddy.
The list also includes veteran actor Sai Kumar for his role as the patriarch of a powerful family in Prasthanam. Nani also featured in the list for his role in Jersey, which told the story of a failed cricketer. Priyadarshi also made it to the list for his great work in Mallesham as Chintakindi Mallesham, the pioneering weaver of Telangana.
Among Tollywood heroines, Keerthy Suresh found a place in the list for Mahanati, in which she played the role of her lifetime as the legendary Savitri.
