Vetrimaaran’s latest film Viduthalai Part 1 was released on 31 March 2023 in Tamil and has received a positive response. The makers have planned to release the film in Telugu on April 15th. The film is dubbed in Telugu with the title Vidudhala Part 1. This film casts Vijay Sethupathi and Soori in the main roles. This film is going to be released in Telugu by Geetha Arts. The makers of the film have attended a promotional event recently including Vetrimaaran and Allu Aravind.
In this event, the director of the film, Vetrimaaran, was asked about his plans to work with Tollywood star actors such as Mahesh Babu, Jr NTR, and Allu Arjun. Vetrimaaran ensured that he would surely work with them in the future and also have plans for them. He also added that he met Allu Arjun after his film Aadukalam. Vetrimaaran narrated a role to Allu Arjun in Vada Chennai which didn’t work out. Also, he even spoke to Mahesh Babu after that film. Recently after Asuran, post the Covid lockdown he approached Jr NTR for a film that might happen in the near future. He was also asked about whom he wanted to work with to which Vetrimaaran said that he was sure that he would make a Telugu film but didn’t know when it would happen. He was not sure that it might also be a multi-starrer.

Undoubtedly, Vetrimaaran is one of the greatest directors of the time now. He is a director who portrays rural stories with raw and rustic essence. Viduthalai Part 1 is one such film that deals with Operation Ghost Hunt to capture the leader of the activist group. This film is produced by Elred Kumar under the RS Infotainment banner. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is the music composer for the film.
