The 69th SOBHA Filmfare Awards 2024, which honored excellence in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada filmmaking, were held at the JRC Convention Centre in Hyderabad. Star-studded, with A-list actors and directors in one location, the event was truly spectacular.
Prominent actors were in attendance, to commemorate the most remarkable accomplishments in the South Indian cinema industry.
While Dasara, starring Nani and Keerthy Suresh, won prizes in several categories, BALAGAM, the most popular and critically acclaimed Telugu film, brought home three Filmfare awards.
Balagam was announced as the winner in the Best Film category, while Director Venu Yeldandi also won the Best Director Category. Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Female) was won by Rupa Lakshmi, who played a fascinating role in the movie.
Balagam, which is directed by the extraordinarily gifted Venu Yeldandi, features significant roles for Priyadarshi, Kavya Kalyanram, Sudhakar Reddy, Kota Jayaram, Muralidhar Goud, Mime Madhu, and other actors. Balagam’s touching storyline and realistic depiction of human emotions struck a chord with a broad spectrum of viewers, its rural setting came as a plus.
Beneath the esteemed Dil Raju Productions, Harshith and Hanshitha Reddy developed Balagam.
