Asuran, the hard hitting drama by Vetri Maaran in Tamil was noted equally for its bold theme, as it was for stellar performances by Dhanush and Manju Warrier. The movie secured a permanent place in Tamil Cinema, for depicting the true case of rural caste politics in Tamil Nadu.
Asuran is now being remade in Telugu, with Venkatesh in the lead. Recently, Venkatesh interacted with the media at the Venky Mama success meet and revealed why he zeroed in on Srikanth Addala to direct the remake of Asuran.
