Thala Ajith is known for his multiple talents apart from his acting prowess. Ajith has a passion for motor car racing and even competed in the Formula 2 racing during the 2010 season. Ajith also has a passion for cooking, photography, air pistol shooting and unmanned aerial vehicle modelling. Ajith is also known to perform stunts for his movies himself.
While filming for his latest movie, Valimai, Ajith was involved in a minor bike accident while filming a stunt sequence. The mishap left Ajith with minor injuries, but being the perfectionist he is, Ajith insisted the crew finish the shoot before he can get checked by a doctor. Following the completion of the shoot, which coincided with the completion of the Chennai shooting schedule, Ajith visited a hospital for a medical checkup. This is the last shoot in Chennai and Ajith will be on a small break before travelling to Hyderabad to begin the next leg of the shooting schedule.

Vinoth is directing Valimai, while Boney Kapoor is producing the movie under his banner BayView Projects LLP. Ajith will be seen as the lead actor in Valimai and Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music for the movie.
Ajith was last seen in Nerkonda Paarvai, which was a remake of the Bollywood movie Pink.
