Andhra King Taluka, the 22nd movie of Ram Pothineni, is currently being shot in Hyderabad. Kannada superstar Upendra is participating in the ongoing schedule. Upendra’s character, named Surya Kumar, is going to be a tribute to the “Spirit of every Superstar we admire and look up to”.
All indications are that the character being essayed by Upendra will be pivotal to the central narrative of the movie. Ram and Upendra are joined by a talented set of artists. “Shoot in full swing. Stay tuned for more exciting updates,” Mythri Movie Makers stated.

Andhra King Taluka is directed by Mahesh Babu Pachigolla of Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty fame. Bhagyashri Borse is the heroine. Vivek Siva and Mervin Solomon, the Kollywood music directors, are setting the songs to tune. Avinash Kolla is the production designer. Sreekar Prasad has been roped in to helm the Editing department.
Last year, Upendra was seen in UI, a sci-fi dystopian action film which he himself directed. His next big release as a lead actor is 45, an action fantasy flick set to head to theatres on 15 August 2025. Shiva Rajkumar is playing another lead role in it. Upendra is also essaying a major role in Rajinikanth’s Coolie.
