VD14: Set works begin, production to take off soon

More than three years after his previous movie, Shyam Singha Roy, was released, director Rahul Sankrityan is back on set. His movie with Vijay Deverakonda (tentatively titled VD14 ) has commenced its set erection works. Bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers , the film will be in the making this year. Set work started today with an auspicious pooja. A great tale on colonial history laid its first brick on our 76th Republic day. In Shyam Singha Roy , Rahul situated his protagonist as a Bengali social revolutionary. This time, too, his protagonist is expected to be such an atypical character. This is Vijay Deverakonda's second movie with Rahul. The first one was Taxiwala , a supernatural comedy released in 2018. It was a hit. Vijay is busy with VD12, helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The actor was seen in a cameo in last year's Kalki 2898 AD. The Family Star and Kushi are his two previous releases.
