Nani’s The Paradise has opened to a strong response at the box office, with the film recording a reported ₹74.90 crore worldwide gross on its first day. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the action drama stars Nani in the lead alongside Kayadu Lohar, Raghav Juyal, Mohan Babu and Sonali Kulkarni. The film was released worldwide on September 24 after paid premiere shows on September 23.
The opening comes after an impressive pre-release booking phase. Mythri Movie Makers revealed on social media that The Paradise sold more than 1.8 million tickets through BookMyShow and District apps, calling it the highest pre-sales for a Telugu film in 2026. This gives an indication of the strong advance demand the film generated before its theatrical release.
According to India Today, The Paradise collected ₹74.90 crore worldwide on Day 1, including ₹54.90 crore gross from India and ₹20 crore from overseas. The India total includes the September 23 paid premieres, which contributed ₹13.95 crore, while the regular September 24 release day added ₹40.95 crore gross in India.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana emerged as the biggest contributors, with the two states recording a combined ₹42.50 crore gross across the paid premieres and Day 1. Karnataka contributed ₹6.05 crore, while Tamil Nadu, Kerala and the rest of India added to the overall domestic total.
The opening also marks a new career benchmark for Nani, with the film registering his biggest worldwide opening according to trade reports. The strong start puts The Paradise ahead of the opening figures reported for some of his previous major releases, including HIT: The Third Case and Dasara.
For The Paradise, the next challenge is sustaining this momentum beyond the opening day. With strong pre-sales already converted into a sizeable theatrical start, the weekend numbers will show how the film continues to perform across Telugu states, other Indian markets and overseas territories.
