Sound designer Kunal Rajan, the sonic architect behind blockbuster Tamil films like Vishwaroopam 2, Mercury, and Ghajini, has sent fans into a frenzy with his latest update on the highly anticipated Allu Arjun-Atlee project, tentatively titled #AA22.

In a recent podcast, the audio maestro teased that the film’s sound design is “something new, something big, something epic.” He emphasized that both the quality and the budget allocated for the sound department are “truly on par with a Hollywood film,” raising expectations sky-high for what is already one of Indian cinema’s most awaited pan-India ventures. With high-octane action sequences and grand visuals already rumored, Rajan’s promise of groundbreaking acoustics adds another layer of excitement.

The Icon Star has been shooting for his 22nd movie, directed by Atlee. The film co-stars Deepika Padukone and others. A new schedule of the yet-to-be-titled multi-lingual release is scheduled to be canned in Hyderabad in early 2026.

Pushpa 2: The Rule will be released in Japan on January 16, 2026. Allu Arjun will be flying to the country for promotions there.
