Swayambhu Strikes Mega Rs 7 Cr Overseas Deal; Phars Film Bags Rights

The historical epic, Swayambhu, starring Nikhil Siddhartha, has made a sensational move in the global market, finalizing its overseas theatrical rights deal for Rs 7 crore. Distribution powerhouse Phars Film has secured the rights for the ambitious period action drama. "Welcoming the Prestigious Overseas Distributors Phars Film into the World of Swayambhu.. It's going to be a Massive World-wide Release. The Indian warrior will go global (sic)," actor Nikhil wrote. Touted as an homage to India's civilisational heritage, the film is rooted in a lesser-known chapter of 11th-century Indian history. Siddhartha plays Krishnan Raman, a Chola warrior and 'kingmaker', alongside female leads Samyuktha Menon and Nabha Natesh. The project boasts an A-list technical team, including music director Ravi Basrur (KGF, Salaar) and cinematographer K.K. Senthil Kumar (Baahubali, RRR). In a recent video, Nikhil introduced the film's scale by talking about the monumental scale on which it is being made. Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari and produced by Pixel Studios, the film is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on February 13, 2026, coinciding with Maha Shivratri.
