Suriya's Sikandar up for re-release on November 28th

The 2014 Tamil action thriller Anjaan, directed by N. Lingusamy, was released in Telugu as Sikandar. It stars Suriya in a dual-shaded role alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The action film is up for a theatrical re-release on November 28th . As Krishna investigates, he learns about Raju's past, his close bond with friend Chandru (Vidyut Jammwal), and the rival gangster Imran Bhai (Manoj Bajpayee) who was believed to have killed both Raju and Chandru. The story features a significant interval twist where the true identity of Krishna is revealed, turning the narrative into a revenge saga. Santosh Sivan's cinematography and Yuvan Shankar Raja 's music were also notable technical aspects. Director Lingusamy had first pitched a one-line story to Karthi. Years later, when he had to team up with Suriya, he pitched a series of lines, none of which satisfied him. This is when the line he had told Karthi came to his mind and a full-fledged script was developed. After a one-and-a-half-hour narration, Suriya was on board.
