Suriya’s upcoming film Scene is gearing up for a grand theatrical release this Diwali. The makers have announced that the film will arrive in cinemas worldwide on November 6, 2026. The announcement has added to the buzz surrounding the crime comedy thriller, which brings together talent from the Tamil and Malayalam film industries.
Directed by Jithu Madhavan, Scene marks the filmmaker’s Tamil directorial debut following the success of Malayalam films such as Romancham and Aavesham. The project has generated interest with its combination of crime, comedy and thriller elements, along with an ensemble cast led by Suriya.
Suriya plays DSP Inbaraj, a former police officer who assembles an unconventional team to investigate an old case. Malayalam actor Naslen plays Eswaran, a mysterious and emotionless serial killer, setting up an intriguing confrontation between the two characters. Nazriya Nazim also plays a key role as Maya.
The film features music by Sushin Shyam, marking another collaboration between the composer and Jithu Madhavan. His music is expected to complement the film’s mix of suspense, action and humour.
Scene is produced by Suriya and Jyotika, bringing together an ambitious team for the upcoming entertainer. With its unusual characters, crime-driven storyline and the combination of Suriya’s screen presence with Jithu Madhavan’s distinctive storytelling, the film is shaping up as an interesting addition to the Diwali theatrical lineup.
With the worldwide release locked for November 6, audiences can look forward to experiencing Scene in cinemas this festive season.
