Producer Naga Vamsi has revealed key details about the storyline of Suriya'ss 46th movie, directed by Venky Atluri (known for Lucky Baskhar).
The untitled film is described as a delicate, unconventional love story that explores the relationship, bond, emotions, and potential romance between a 45-year-old man (played by Suriya) and a 20-year-old young woman (played by Mamitha Baiju, of Premalu fame). It delves into whether two people with such a large age gap can genuinely fall in love, positioning it as an intriguing and emotionally driven narrative.
Suriya's character is portrayed as wealthy, aggressive, and intense, with Naga Vamsi drawing comparisons to Suriya's iconic role as Sanjay Ramaswamy in Ghajini (2005). Despite the age-gap romance, the film is emphasized as a proper family entertainer with strong human emotions.
Venky Atluri's initial plan was not to make a family film with a relationship plot. He wanted to make something else.
Actresses Raveena Tandon (marking her return to Tamil cinema after over two decades) and Radikaa Sarathkumar, along with others like Bhavani Sre, have crucial roles. Shooting is nearly complete, with a planned theatrical release in summer 2026.
Suriya is currently also doing Karuppu, directed by RJ Balaji.
