The upcoming film starring Soori, tentatively titled Soori 7, has officially begun its journey with an auspicious pooja ceremony in Chennai. Mythri Movie Makers shared the update on October 14, announcing that the film will be made in both Tamil and Telugu. Actor Sivakarthikeyan attended the launch event and extended his wishes to the entire team.

Directed by R. Ravikumar, known for Indru Netru Naalai and Ayalaan, the film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner. The project marks another collaboration between the production house and Soori, who has been building his identity as a lead actor through films that offer him performance-driven roles.

Rajisha Vijayan plays the female lead opposite Soori. The film is currently referred to as Soori 7, as the makers have yet to announce its official title. Details about the storyline and the remaining cast and technical crew are also being kept under wraps.

Sivakarthikeyan reportedly sounded the clapboard to mark the beginning of the project, while producer Elred Kumar switched on the camera. Several prominent personalities from the Tamil film industry, including director Vetrimaaran, attended the ceremony and wished the team well.

Ravikumar has previously explored science fiction and comedy through Indru Netru Naalai and Ayalaan. His collaboration with Soori has therefore generated interest among audiences eager to see what kind of story the director has chosen for his next outing.

With filming now underway, further updates about the title, cast and other details are expected in the coming days. The film is set to reach audiences in Tamil and Telugu, adding another bilingual project to Mythri Movie Makers’ growing slate.
