Sigma Trailer Breakdown

Published: 2026-09-19

The theatrical trailer of Sigma was released on September 18, giving audiences a much clearer look at the action-adventure world created by debutant director Jason Sanjay. Starring Sundeep Kishan and Faria Abdullah, the trailer sets up a stylish mix of action, crime, adventure, humour and emotion, while placing a high-stakes heist at the centre of the story.

Sundeep Kishan appears to play a radio host whose life takes a dramatic turn after betrayal pushes him towards a risky mission. His target is an enormous criminal operation involving drugs and gambling, with the trailer pointing to a ₹500-crore network. He teams up with his friends and Faria Abdullah’s character to execute a major heist, but the plan brings them directly into the path of Kotlapadi Veeraiya Reddy, played by Sampath Raj. The trailer makes it clear that what begins as a calculated operation soon turns into a dangerous battle against a powerful criminal network.

The cast also gets enough space to establish the film’s commercial tone. Faria Abdullah appears to have an active role rather than being limited to the romantic track, while Raju Sundaram brings the comedy element and Sampath Raj provides the threatening presence. Shiv Panditt, Anbu Thasan, Yog Japee, Sheela Rajkumar and others are also part of the ensemble.

However, the trailer does not reveal how the heist ultimately plays out or what exactly drives the protagonist beyond the betrayal shown in the setup. The complete connection between the characters, the real stakes behind the ₹500-crore operation and the twists surrounding Reddy’s network remain unclear.

That is where the curiosity around Sigma now lies. Can the planned heist actually succeed, and what happens when the protagonist’s plan collides with the criminal world he is taking on? With Jason Sanjay making his directorial debut, audiences will also be watching to see how he handles this large-scale commercial action story.

Sigma is scheduled to release in theatres on October 2, 2026.
