Samantha's Subham: A Launchpad for Promising Actors

Subham , set to be released in theatres on May 9th , is produced by Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Both she and her director, Praveen Kandregula, are betting big on the fresh faces who have played married couples in the horror-comedy. Harshith Malgireddy, Shriya Kontham, Charan Peri, Shalini Kondepudi, Gavireddy Srinivas, and Shravani Lakshmi are touted to be promising acting talents. Speaking at the pre-release event of the film on Sunday, director Praveen made an interesting comment. He said that each artist may be fresh but they have performed like pros. They are also spontaneous and, therefore, took the script to the next level through their sense of writing. Films featuring fresh faces who pull off engaging performances are rare to come by. When Yevade Subrahmanyam was released, both Vijay Deverakonda and Malavika Nair were not familiar to the majority of the audience. Their confident portrayals complemented Nani's performance. We can expect something similar from Subham , if the film's Trailer is anything to go by.
