Revanth Reddy pledges support to elevate TFI and empower workers

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has reiterated his commitment to an ambitious vision for Hyderabad, aiming to transform the city into a global film hub on par with Hollywood . At a meeting with cinema workers on Wednesday, he emphasized his commitment to the welfare of film workers and the overall growth of the state's film industry. The Chief Minister urged film workers to communicate their needs directly to the government, assuring them of his administration's support. He highlighted that he has already met with producers, pressing them to not neglect their workforce and to actively cooperate in enhancing the skills of film workers. He announced plans for a skill university that will offer specialized training to film workers. He stressed that workers must also take initiative to improve their skills to meet the demands of a growing industry. Revanth Reddy extended an invitation to filmmakers from all languages to shoot in Telangana, signaling the government s intent to foster an inclusive and diverse cinematic environment. He also underscored the need to support small film producers, who are vital to the industry s ecosystem . Addressing recent tensions within the industry, Revanth Reddy advised against actions that could spoil the working environment. He cautioned that strikes would lead to losses for all parties involved and assured stakeholders that the government would not stand by idly during such disputes. He stated he would approach any issue objectively, without letting personal relationships influence his decisions. In a move to improve the welfare of the workforce, the CM announced that the government would explore providing health insurance to film workers. He also referenced the recent Telangana Gaddar Film Awards, which honored film artists—an initiative he noted had been absent for a decade.
