Re-Release Trailer of ‘Eeswar’ arrives ahead of October 23rd release

Back in 2002, the song Ameerpet announced the arrival of an energetic yet not-so-serious onscreen persona on the big screen. The song from the film Eeswar , Prabhas debut movie, was enjoyed by both masses and classes. Twenty-three years later, it s time to relive the experience of Prabhas first movie in theatres. Also featuring Revathi, Brahmanandam and several others, its music was by RP Patnaik, the shining composer at that time. When the story of Eeswar was ready, Prabhas was yet to be discovered by director Jayanth. The in-form director was looking for a newcomer and several profiles were scrutinized. None of them suited Eeswar , given the story had a mass element. Around the same time, producer Kolla Ashok Kumar came to know that Rebel Star Krishnam Raju s brother s son was about to undergo training in acting under acting guru Satyanand. Jayanth seriously considered Prabhas after he learned that the young lad was 6-ft tall and had a photogenic face. I was impressed with him in our very first meeting.
