The latest Ramayana poster gives audiences a closer look at Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravie Dubey as Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman. Unlike the film’s larger promotional visuals, this poster focuses on the three characters together, capturing an important phase of their journey during vanvaas.
The film’s trailer had already established the larger world of Ramayana, moving from Ayodhya to the forest and eventually towards Lanka while introducing the central conflict between Ram and Ravana. It showed Ranbir Kapoor’s Ram as a character driven by dharma and duty, while Sai Pallavi’s Sita and Ravie Dubey’s Lakshman were introduced as important parts of his journey. The trailer also offered glimpses of the major characters and the scale of the world being created for the two-part epic, while building towards the conflict that will drive the story forward.
The first detail that immediately stands out in the new poster is the setting. Ram, Sita and Lakshman are presented against a forest backdrop, indicating their life away from Ayodhya during their exile. The earthy surroundings and traditional costumes keep the visual rooted in the vanvaas period rather than presenting the characters in their royal identities.
Ranbir Kapoor’s look as Ram is particularly detailed. He appears in simple traditional attire with his hair tied back, while the bow in his hands establishes him as a warrior even within the quieter setting. His expression is composed rather than aggressive, giving the character a sense of calmness in the middle of the forest.
Sai Pallavi’s Sita is positioned alongside Ram, with her appearance kept simple and traditional. Her styling does not rely on elaborate royal costumes. Instead, the look reflects Sita’s life during exile and complements the overall earthy visual tone of the poster.
Ravie Dubey’s Lakshman is another important detail in the visual. He is also seen carrying a bow, establishing his role as Ram’s companion and protector during the exile. Placing Lakshman in the same frame rather than revealing him separately makes the relationship between the three characters an important part of the poster.
The positioning of the characters also adds to the visual. Ram and Sita occupy the emotional centre of the frame, while Lakshman stands alongside them, creating the image of the three moving through vanvaas together. The makers have captioned the poster, “Together Always, in Dharma,” which directly reflects the bond being presented in the visual.
Interestingly, this poster feels different from the earlier Ram-Sita-focused visuals. Those promotional materials concentrated more on the relationship between the two characters, while this new poster expands that picture by bringing Lakshman into the frame and showing all three together in their forest-exile appearance.
The poster therefore does more than introduce another look. It gives a clearer idea of how Ramayana is approaching the vanvaas portion of the story, from the costumes and surroundings to the way Ram, Sita and Lakshman are visually placed together.
For Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Ravie Dubey, this becomes another important character reveal ahead of the theatrical release. After the trailer introduced the scale and central conflict of the film, the new poster brings the focus back to the three characters and the journey they undertake together.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being made as a two-part epic, with the first part scheduled for release during Diwali 2026. Ranbir Kapoor plays Ram, Sai Pallavi plays Sita and Ravie Dubey plays Lakshman, with the film bringing the iconic characters to the screen through a large-scale cinematic adaptation.
