The prestigious award was presented by the Honorable President of India for her remarkable debut performance in the film Gandhi Tatha Chettu. The actor's message highlights the young artist's promising future in the film industry. Sukriti is the daughter of star director Sukumar and Tabitha Sukumar. Gandhi Tatha Chettu, brought out by Mythri Movie Makers, Sukumar Writings and Gopi Talkies, was a crowd-funded, indie film that was materialized through Cinema Stock Exchange. Made on a budget of Rs 85 lakhs, the message-laden film was released earlier this year but it was censored in 2023. Sukriti s father, director Sukumar , initially doubted her acting range but was pleasantly surprised by her performance in Gandhi Tatha Chettu, stating she had performed so well. Mahesh Babu also praised her stellar debut performance and was incredibly proud to see her deliver a powerful performance.
