Pushpa 2: The Rule will be released in Japan on January 16, 2026. Allu Arjun will be flying to the country for promotions there.
"So… is AA going to be smuggled into Japan in a shipping container after all? (sic)," a fan reacted to the news, making a not-so-cryptic reference to the ship container episode in Pushpa 2.
Distributed in Japan by Geek Pictures and Shochiku, the release under the title Pushpa Kunrin features vibrant promotional posters showcasing Allu Arjun in his signature flamboyant style—sunglasses, floral shirts, and unyielding swagger. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa 2: The Rule stars Allu Arjun alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. The film's global appeal builds on the massive success of its 2021 predecessor, Pushpa: The Rise, which captivated audiences with its raw storytelling, pulsating soundtrack by Devi Sri Prasad, and Allu Arjun's transformative performance.
The Icon Star has been shooting for his 22nd movie, directed by Atlee. The film co-stars Deepika Padukone and others. A new schedule of the yet-to-be-titled multi-lingual release is scheduled to be canned in Hyderabad in early 2026.
