The Saripodhaa Sanivaaram actress described her character as an innocent, sweet girl whose look and styling are authentically rooted in the 1980s–1990s, the period in which the film is set. She revealed that Kanmani's role is pivotal to the plot, stating, She is deeply in love with Gambheera and plays a key role in turning his life around. This suggests that beyond the action-packed sequences, OG will have a significant emotional core driven by this relationship. Dispelling notions that OG is solely an action film, Priyanka confirmed that it also features a robust family drama. Action is only one part of it, she stated. When asked about her experience working with Pawan Kalyan, particularly since he assumed the role of Deputy CM, Priyanka noted a significant change in his demeanor. She observed that he appears much calmer and more responsible now.
