Prabhas’ Pournami Set for Grand Re-Release in 4K on October 23rd

Pournami is slated for a spectacular re-release in theaters on October 23rd in stunning 4K ultra-high definition. Prabhas' birthday falls on the day. Originally released in 2006 and directed by Prabhu Deva , Pournami is a tale of love, honor, and sacrifice, blending traditional Telugu nativity with compelling performances and memorable music. The film features Prabhas in one of his standout roles as Shiva Kesav, a character that showcased his versatility in action, emotion, and romance. The movie also stars Trisha Krishnan and Charmme Kaur, with the latter earning praise for her expressive performance. The film was produced by M. S. Raju , who also wrote the story and screenplay. The dialogues were penned by Paruchuri Brothers. Sindhu Tolani as Mallika and Rahul Dev as Veerabhadra have prominent roles. Other notable cast members include Mukesh Rishi, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Tanikella Bharani, Sunil, Chandra Mohan, Manju Bhargavi, and Geetha. The music for the film was composed by Devi Sri Prasad , with cinematography by Venu and editing by K. V. Krishna Reddy. Prabhas next straight theatrical release is The Raja Saab, which is slated to be released in theatres on 9 January 2026.
