The makers of Prabhas’ upcoming film Fauzi have unveiled a powerful new glimpse titled File No. 25, introducing the actor as a mysterious Indian rebel soldier. Released on the occasion of Prabhas’ birthday, the video offers a glimpse into the film’s World War II backdrop and reveals the identity of a soldier whose actions challenge British intelligence. The makers have also announced that the film will arrive in theatres on March 19, 2027.
The glimpse opens in Berlin on May 29, 1942, during World War II, depicting a fictionalised conversation between Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Adolf Hitler. Bose seeks Germany’s support in the fight against British rule, but Hitler questions India’s ability to win its freedom after nearly two centuries of colonial domination.
Bose responds confidently, explaining that he has a soldier, strategist and spy capable of disrupting British intelligence operations. He further reveals that the mysterious operative has created an unbreakable code inspired by the Bhagavad Gita, which is described as more difficult to crack than Germany’s Enigma code.
When Hitler asks for the soldier’s name, Bose reveals that the British know him as “Fauzi”. He is stationed in Calcutta, protecting his motherland.
The video then cuts to Prabhas in an intense soldier avatar, seated behind a massive machine gun. The title cards introduce him as “India’s Biggest Rebel Soldier” and “Most Wanted Since 1932”.
The glimpse concludes with Prabhas delivering a fierce dialogue directed at the British, declaring his determination to shed their blood and snatch freedom for his country.
Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in association with T-Series Films, Fauzi also stars Imanvi, Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada and Anupam Kher. With its espionage premise, period setting and Prabhas’ rebellious transformation, the film promises an intense historical action drama. It is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on March 19, 2027.
