Pawan Kalyan Hails Hyderabad Police for iBomma Admin Arrest, Calls It a Win Against Piracy

Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has expressed his happiness over the Hyderabad police successfully arresting i Bomma admin, Immadhi Ravi. Here is the statement by the Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh. "The film industry is suffering heavy losses due to piracy gangs posting movies on the internet on the day of their release, films that are made not just with money but also with creativity as an investment. At a time when a film's release has become a 'maha yagnam', it is not possible for directors and producers to control the piracy gangs. The arrest of the administrators of key piracy websites like i Bomma and Bappam by the Hyderabad police, and having them shut down the sites themselves, is a welcome development. At a time when piracy gangs had reached a level where they could challenge the police, the operation carried out by the Hyderabad Cyber Crime Police team was successful. I congratulate the police involved in this operation and the City Commissioner, Sri VC Sajjanar. He (Sajjanar) is also focusing specifically on issues like betting mafia and Ponzi schemes, and is raising awareness about how people are being financially ruined by them. When I met him on one occasion, he explained how people are being financially cheated and losing money due to Ponzi schemes. Similarly, the initiative taken by Sri Sajjanar to control betting apps has brought about change in all states. The actions taken under his leadership will surely benefit not just the Telugu film industry but the entire Indian film industry."
