Nandamuri Balakrishna is back on the sets of Dada after recovering from the injury he suffered while shooting for the film earlier this year. The actor has resumed filming in Mysuru, marking his return to the ongoing schedule of the Gopichand Malineni directorial.
Balakrishna was injured on July 21 while shooting an intense action sequence for the film at Kakinada Port. The makers confirmed that the actor suffered a minor muscle tear during the shoot and would undergo a minor surgical procedure as advised by doctors. The shooting was halted following the incident.
A subsequent medical update stated that Balakrishna had sustained an injury to his left knee and was shifted to Hyderabad for further treatment. He took a break from the shoot to undergo the procedure and recover before returning to work.
Now, after completing his recovery, the actor has joined the Dada team in Mysuru. The current schedule is focused mainly on the talkie portions, with Balakrishna and other prominent members of the cast participating in the shoot.
Dada marks Balakrishna’s second collaboration with Gopichand Malineni after Veera Simha Reddy. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, the film also stars Manoj Manchu and Kajal Aggarwal. S Thaman is composing the music, while Arvind S Kashyap handles the cinematography.
The film is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026. With Balakrishna now back in action, the team is moving ahead with a crucial phase of production.
