Addressing a large gathering of students and faculty, Nagarjuna emphasized the importance of creating a lasting impact through one's actions, stating that while people are not permanent, the work they leave behind remains forever.
The actor reflected deeply on his father’s passion for learning, noting that despite ANR not having the opportunity for a high level of formal education himself, he possessed an immense respect for the power of knowledge. This vision led ANR to contribute significantly to the academic landscape of the region, including a notable donation of 1 lakh rupees to the college back in 1959—a massive sum for that era aimed at securing a bright future for thousands of students.
Continuing this family tradition of supporting education, Nagarjuna announced a significant contribution during the event. On behalf of the Akkineni family, he pledged Rs 2 crore dedicated specifically to student scholarships. He reiterated that his father worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for others, and this new fund is intended to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder the potential of the current generation of students.
