Rocking Star Manchu Manoj is set to make a thunderous return to the silver screen with his latest pan-India project, David Reddy. Produced by Venkat Reddy and Bharat Motukuri under Velvet Soul Motion Pictures and True Radix, this intense action drama is directed by Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti.
Set against the rugged backdrop of the British Raj, the film features Maria Ryaboshapka as the female lead. Unlike traditional freedom fighters, David Reddy is portrayed as a volatile warrior who believes that liberty must be seized by force rather than requested through peace.
Manoj revealed that his character operates on a philosophy of "violence for violence." David Reddy’s arsenal includes: War Dog: A custom vintage bike; and Death Note: A lethal stick used to strike down enemies.
"David Reddy considers both the British and certain Indians as his enemies," Manoj stated. "He believes in taking what he wants. This film uncovers brutal historical atrocities that were never recorded, showing how one man stood against them."
The film boasts a powerhouse crew, including music by Ravi Basrur, stunts by Supreme Sundar, and cinematography by Acharya Venu. While rumors are swirling regarding guest appearances by superstars Ram Charan and Tamil actor Simbu, the team clarified that while the script allows for such roles, no official casting has been finalized yet.
Promising a "full meals feast" for his fans, Manoj emphasized that David Reddy will be a massive cinematic experience released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
