Lokesh Kanagaraj and Wamiqa Gabbi to Star in Arun Matheswaran's 'DC'

Director Arun Matheswaran's next feature, titled DC , has officially announced its lead cast, featuring a major acting debut. Kaithi, Vikram and Coolie fame Lokesh Kanagaraj will step in front of the camera for the first time, starring opposite the talented Wamiqa Gabbi. The film, backed by Sun Pictures (which recently bankrolled Coolie and is currently producing the Allu Arjun-Atlee movie), this one has Wamiqa Gabbi of Dacoit fame as Chandra. Arun Ranjan contributed additional screenplay, with dialogues penned by both Arun and Franklin Jacob. The technical crew includes Mukesh G as the Director of Photography, GK Prasanna as the editor, S Kannan as the art director, and PC Stunts managing the stunt choreography. It has been reported that Lokesh has been approached by filmmakers for acting roles over the years. Notably, he had to refuse the villain role in Sudha Kongara's Parasakthi due to a clash with his directorial work on Coolie. However, the Arun Matheswaran project materialized during an eight-month break he had before beginning work on Kaithi 2.
