Actress Kriti Sanon, who played Sita in Adipurush, has commented that there is gender-based inequality in the Hindi film industry. She suggested that male stars are treated better than female actors. For example, Assistant Directors expect female actors to be ready for the shot before their male counterparts. On top of that, heroes are feted with more luxurious cars, which makes female actors feel that they are less welcomed. It hasn t happened too many times, but little things like the male actor getting a better car or a better room It s not about the car, but about not making me feel smaller because I m a woman. Just make it equal, Kriti said. She made her acting debut in 2014 with the Telugu film 1: Nenokkadine, starring Mahesh Babu in the lead and directed by Sukumar. The same year, she made her Bollywood debut with the film Heropanti, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She is a recipient of a National Film Award and two Filmfare Awards.
