Kishkindhapuri is not jut a horror film. It's also a thriller. Usually, horror movies don't offer much scope for performance. But this film is different, said Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, speaking at a press meet post the release of this September 12th release. He described the Telugu audience as the best in the world, saying they always embrace good films. On Thursday evening, we started out with the idea of holding just three paid premieres. Responding to the huge demand, we went on to hold 66 shows. What more can I ask for? This was organic and genuine hype and love for our movie, the actor said. Director Koushik Pegallapati has been appreciated for casting Prema in an interesting role. I have always wanted to write strong mother characters. We considered several options and cast Prema. I didn't cast her just because she is a senior actress, he said. The filmmaker added that it's not easy for ghosts to possess humans unless they are emotionally vulnerable and mentally too weak, suggesting that Kishkindhapuri's screenplay is attuned to this understanding. Co-starring Anupama Parameswaran , Hyper Aadi, Srikanth Iyengar, Bhadram, and Nellore Sudarshan, the film has cinematography by Chinmay Salaskar.
