Kiran Abbavaram’s upcoming film, previously referred to as KA13, has now been titled Reality. The makers unveiled the title glimpse, introducing Kiran as Anandam, a hotel owner whose simple life and priorities give the film a grounded and relatable feel. The film is produced under the Joy Films banner and is set to release in theatres on December 25, 2026.
The glimpse presents Anandam as someone who finds happiness in his work and in taking care of his responsibilities. He runs a hotel and takes pride in serving his customers. Interestingly, the biggest high in his life comes from something much more relatable than a typical cinematic achievement: having no debts. The glimpse highlights his happiness after clearing his financial obligations, instantly connecting the character to the everyday experiences of middle-class families.
The title Reality also fits the world being presented, with the glimpse focusing on family, work, financial responsibilities and small moments of happiness. Instead of introducing Anandam as a larger-than-life character, the film appears to build its emotional core around the realities of an ordinary man.
Reality marks Kiran Abbavaram’s directorial debut. He has also written the story and screenplay while playing the lead role. Devika Bhat is the female lead, while veteran actors including Sharat Kumar and Sai Kumar are part of the cast. Sudhakar Chaganti is producing the film under Joy Films, with music by Bheems Ceciroleo.
With its relatable protagonist and family-oriented setting, Reality is shaping up as a different outing for Kiran Abbavaram. The film will arrive in theatres on December 25 as a Christmas release.
