Annagaru Vostaru is the Telugu version's title of Karthi's upcoming movie, Vaa Vaathiyaar. The film will hit the screens on December 12th.
Its trailer was shared today digitally by Ustaad Bhagat Singh director Harish Shankar. "Very happy to launch the trailer of my favourite hero and my brother Karthi," the Tollywood filmmaker wrote on X.
The action comedy seems to be a character-centric drama where Karthi takes on the mantle of an eccentric (for a change, he is not brutal or aggressive) cop. Instead of spilling the blood of his antagonists, he puts himself in the realm of a make-believe world inspired by larger-than-life cinema characters. His purpose, though, appears to be uplifting. The trailer doesn't reveal much and yet successfully stirs the audience's curiosity.
Produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under the prestigious Studio Green banner, the film is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy. Krithi Shetty plays the female lead. Sathyaraj, Madhurr Mittal, Anandaraj, Raj Kiran, Shilpa Manjunath, and Karunakaran will be seen in different roles. The cinematography is by George C. Williams. Vetre Krishnan is the editor. The music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. Recently, the film's title song was unveiled.
