Karthi's Annagaru Vostaru set for December release

Annagaru Vostaru is the Telugu version's title of Karthi's upcoming movie, Vaa Vaathiyaar. The film will hit the screens in the month of December. Produced by K.E. Gnanavel Raja under the prestigious Studio Green banner, the film is directed by Nalan Kumarasamy and promises a gripping blend of action and comedy. Krithi Shetty plays the female lead. Sathyaraj, Madhurr Mittal, Anandaraj, Raj Kiran, Shilpa Manjunath, and Karunakaran will be seen in different roles. The story of the action-comedy is centered around an MGR fan (the Telugu version might be about him being an NTR fan) who believes his grandson shares a special connection with the late actor-politician MG Ramachandran (who was popularly referred to as 'Vaathiyaar'). The grandson, named Ramu (played by Karthi), grows up to become a fun-loving, easygoing police officer. The plot takes a turn when unexpected events put his grandfather's life in danger, leading to a transformation in Ramu's character. The plot seems to be quite interesting and we can expect certain meta elements! The cinematography is by George C. Williams. Vetre Krishnan is the editor.
