‘Kantara Chapter 1’ collects Rs 335 Cr so far

The period mythological action drama Kantara: Chapter 1 has made a massive impact at the global box office, grossing over Rs 335 Cr (Gross Box Office Collection) on the first weekend. The collections are for four days. Since the movie was released on Thursday (with paid premieres on the previous day), it was an extended, festival-powered weekend at the box office. The film s major markets are Kannada, Hindi, and Telugu. On Monday, which is its 5th day at the box office, the Rishab Shetty -starrer is reportedly doing extremely well in the Kannada market with huge occupancies across theatres. Meanwhile, the movie has been receiving praises from celebs and stalwarts alike. After the likes of Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Prasanth Varma and KGF actor Yash, political leaders like Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai have endorsed the movie. Rishab Shetty avaru delivers a scintillating performance both as the director and lead actor, bringing together the essence of Dharma, the culture of the Tulu Nadu, the worship of Panjurli Deva and Guliga and the various manifestations of them, he wrote.
