Kaantha Trailer: Dulquer Salmaan, Bhagyashri, Rana give a treat

The trailer for Kaantha is out ahead of the movie's theatrical release on November 14th . Dulquer Salmaan plays a matinee idol named TK Mahadevan who becomes arrogant and, apparently, self-defeatist after he attains immense fame. He attempts to cut his mentor, Ayya, played by Samuthirakani, to size. When Ayya plans to make a new-age horror movie titled Shantha with Mahadevan, the self-absorbed hero rewrites the script and wants the climax to be his version. The heroine of the movie is Kumari (Bhagyashri Borse), who swears loyalty to Ayya instead. The female lead is not a lovey-dovey character and uses her agency to drive the plot - possibly she is her own schemer. After Lucky Baskhar , DQ seems to be playing another morally complicated character. Samuthirakani and Rana have author-backed characters. Behind the camera, Dani Sanchez Lopez served as the Director of Photography, while Llewellyn Anthony Gonsalvez handled the editing. Ramalingam was the Art Director. Kaantha is directed by Selvamani Selvaraj and produced by Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films.
