The musical promotions of Jailer 2 continue with “One Name,” the latest lyrical video from the Rajinikanth starrer. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the track puts Rajinikanth’s screen presence at the centre while adding another energetic piece to the film’s promotional campaign. The song is the third track associated with the film, following “Ala Bolelo” and “One Sun One Moon.”
“One Name” is built almost entirely around the aura of Rajinikanth. The lyrics repeatedly celebrate the idea of the Thalaivar, giving the track the feel of a musical tribute to his larger-than-life presence. Lines centred on his name, fire and unstoppable energy keep the song focused on the character and the image audiences associate with Rajinikanth.
Anirudh’s background score is another major highlight. The music keeps building the intensity around the visuals, giving the track a powerful flow without taking the attention away from Rajinikanth. The combination of the energetic arrangement and the lyrics makes the song feel designed for the big screen.
The lyrical video also adds to the impact with its bloody and intense visuals. Rajinikanth is presented in a rugged, commanding manner, while glimpses from the making of the film give audiences a look behind the scenes. These portions add another layer to the track and connect the musical presentation with the world of Jailer 2.
The song’s biggest strength, however, is how consistently it stays with its central idea. From the lyrics to the BGM and the visuals, everything comes back to Rajinikanth’s presence. That gives “One Name” a clear identity within the film’s musical campaign.
With “One Name” now out, the Jailer 2 music promotions move towards the full album launch on September 30. The Jailer 2 Rave will follow on Sun NXT on October 3 and Sun TV on October 4, while the trailer is scheduled for October 5. The film is set to release worldwide on October 15.
