Jailer 2 Second Single Out

Published: 2026-09-25

The much-awaited second single from Jailer 2, “One Sun One Moon,” has now been released, giving fans another musical glimpse into Nelson Dilipkumar’s highly anticipated sequel. Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the song arrives after the first single “Ala Bolelo” and continues the film’s music-driven promotional campaign ahead of its October 15 theatrical release.

The song had already generated curiosity through its quirky promo featuring Nelson and Anirudh. The promo followed Nelson looking for a new track from Anirudh, with the conversation eventually moving towards an “international mass” song that could still connect with the local audience. The idea was taken a step further with the mention of “Rajinism,” making it clear that the song was being designed around the larger-than-life presence of Rajinikanth.

The title “One Sun One Moon” itself adds to that larger-than-life presentation. The promo also played with the phrase “One Sun, One Moon, One Superstar,” creating a direct connection to Rajinikanth’s iconic screen persona and adding another layer of excitement around the track.

The overall vibe established by the promo suggested that “One Sun One Moon” would be less about a conventional melody and more about creating a celebratory, stylish mass experience. Nelson and Anirudh’s familiar combination of humour, attitude and music added to the anticipation, while the international-meets-local idea gave the song a distinct promotional identity.

With the full song now available, audiences can finally experience how Anirudh has translated that idea into the track and how it fits into the musical world of Jailer 2. The song features lyrics by Heisenberg and Super Subu, with vocals by Anirudh Ravichander and M.S. Krsna.

“One Sun One Moon” opens with a strong BGM that immediately sets the mood before settling into a slow yet smooth musical flow. The track balances that relaxed feel with the mass energy associated with Jailer, making the “international mass” idea work naturally. The English lyrics add a modern, global flavour, while the heroic portions bring the focus back to Rajinikanth and the song’s “Rajinism” theme. The “Oru Thalaivan Dhaa” portion adds another Thalaivar-centric touch, while the “One Sun One Moon” idea gives the track a distinct identity. Anirudh’s BGM towards the end, especially the familiar Hukum flavour, gives the song a powerful finish and adds to its theatrical appeal.

“One Sun One Moon” now adds another layer to the Jailer 2 promotions, following the energetic reception to “Ala Bolelo.” With Rajinikanth returning as Muthuvel Pandian, Nelson at the helm and Anirudh handling the music, the song gives audiences another taste of the style and energy being built for the sequel ahead of its October 15 release.
