Jailer 2 is expanding its theatrical reach with major distribution announcements ahead of its October 15 release. Sun Pictures has announced the distributors for several key international and Indian territories, adding to the scale surrounding Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar’s highly anticipated sequel.
Shloka Entertainment will handle the distribution of Jailer 2 across North America, Europe, Africa, the UK, Sri Lanka and Nepal. The wide international footprint gives the film a strong global theatrical presence, particularly across territories where Rajinikanth enjoys a dedicated audience.
The makers have also announced Gokulam Movies as the distributor for Kerala and Karnataka. Sun Pictures shared the update with a celebratory message, asking audiences in both states to get ready for the “super celebration” on October 15. Gokulam Movies had earlier been associated with the original Jailer in Kerala, and the new announcement expands that association for the sequel. Trade reports had previously indicated that Gokulam Movies had acquired distribution rights across Kerala, Karnataka and North India, although the latest official announcement specifically confirms Kerala and Karnataka.
These announcements arrive at a time when the promotions for Jailer 2 are picking up pace. The film has already released its first single, “Ala Bolelo,” followed by the second single “One Sun One Moon,” to be out soon. Recent character-focused promotional material has introduced actors including S. J. Suryah and Suraj Venjaramoodu.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 brings back Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian and features Anirudh Ravichander as the music composer. The cast also includes Vidya Balan, Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu and several others. Sun Pictures has officially locked the worldwide theatrical release for October 15, 2026.
With more distribution territories now officially announced, Jailer 2 is steadily building towards its worldwide theatrical launch. The combination of Rajinikanth’s star power, Nelson’s returning directorial vision and the film’s expanding international rollout is adding another layer to the anticipation ahead of October 15.
