The makers of Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated Jailer 2 have announced a new promotional campaign ahead of the film’s theatrical release. The production house has revealed that character reveals from the world of Jailer 2 will begin from today at 6 PM, adding a fresh layer of excitement to the film’s promotions.
The announcement has caught attention with several members of the film’s cast and technical team being tagged, including Rajinikanth, director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. The names of cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan and editor R. Nirmal have also been included, along with several members of the film’s technical team.
Rather than revealing the characters all at once, the makers appear to be building anticipation around the film’s ensemble through individual character updates. With Jailer 2 featuring a large cast alongside Rajinikanth, these reveals could offer audiences a closer look at the different characters that form part of Nelson’s sequel.
The announcement comes shortly after Sun Pictures indicated that more updates were on the way. The production house had earlier teased fans with the message that “the hunt is about to begin,” following a period without major promotional updates.
Jailer 2 is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, with Anirudh Ravichander composing the music. The film is scheduled to arrive in theatres worldwide on October 15, 2026.
With the first character reveal set for 6 PM today, all eyes are now on which member of the Jailer 2 world will be introduced first.
