Director Buchi Babu Sana has unveiled actor Jagapathi Babu's intense new look as Appalasoori in the upcoming pan-India film Peddi. The poster, shared on X, showcases the versatile actor in a rugged, bespectacled avatar against a stormy mountainous backdrop, promising a "masterclass performance in a strong, impactful role."
Sharing the poster, the Mega Power Star wrote, "Honoured and super glad to be 'APPALASOORI' in Peddi. Thoroughly enjoyed playing this role."
Mirai – Super Yodha, Ghaati, Jaat, and Akhanda 2: Thaandavam are among Jaggu Bhai's recent movies. The last of these had him in a cameo. Pushpa 2: The Rule, Kanguva, Mr. Bachchan, Simbaa, and Guntur Kaaram were among his movies released in 2024. Jagapathi Babu played the cold and ruthless antagonist President Phanindra Bhupathi in Rangasthalam, while Ram Charan delivered a career-defining performance as Chitti Babu. Their face-off is the central conflict of the film.
Janhvi Kapoor is the heroine. Divyendu Sharma, Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar and Boman Irani have prominent roles. AR Rahman and Rathnavelu are the movie's music director and cinematographer, respectively.
Vriddhi Cinemas, Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings are producing this movie, which will be released in theatres on 27 March 2026.
