The incident unfolded at a Chennai press meet, where the You Tuber, identified as RS Karthick, directed an intrusive question to co-star Aditya Madhavan: "How much does Gouri weigh? Was it difficult for you to lift her in that song sequence?" The query, referencing a romantic scene, reduced the actress to a physical object, ignoring her role as the film's lead. Gouri Kishan, known for her nuanced performances in Karnan and '96, swiftly interjected. " Why do you need to know my weight? What does it have to do with my work? Every woman's body is different. Let my talent speak, not my size," she retorted calmly yet firmly. "This is not journalism—you are objectifying a female actor and a disgrace to your profession," she declared, refusing to let the room's toxicity silence her.
