Ghaati is a full-on action movie with Anushka's superb performance: Rajeev Reddy

Ghaati was inspired from the thought that a commercial action film has to be made with a female superstar. After the movie Karthavyam, there hasn't been another film on that scale. Among the current stars, Anushka Shetty's stardom is huge. When Krish wanted to do a project with her, Ghaati happened, says producer Rajeev Reddy , talking about his movie with the Baahubali actress. The Krish-directed movie is slated to hit the screens on September 5th . The intensity you saw in the teaser and trailer will be just as strong in the film. It's a full-on action movie with Krish's signature drama. Anushka 's performance will be next level, he says. Krish set out to create a story set in the backdrop of Araku. Ganja smuggling is integral to the narrative. There was a discussion about whether to make it as a movie or a web series, he reveals, adding that Ghaati is a completely fictional story with no real-life resemblances. Most of the film was shot in the Andhra-Orissa borders. When we were shooting in Orissa, the local people were very supportive, he adds. Casting Vikram Prabhu was Krish's call. We are also releasing the movie in Tamil, so it will be a plus point there as well. His performance was fantastic, Rajeev Reddy adds. Ghaati 2 has a possibility to be made if Ghaati becomes a big hit, he suggests. Kanche (2015), Gautamiputra Satakarni (2017) and Antariksham 9000 kmph (2018) are among Rajeev Reddy's productions.
