Filmmaker AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary dies of heart attack

AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary , who is known for working with big names like Nandamuri Balakrishna, is no more. The directed is learned to have died of heart attack. The filmmaker, whose career spanned more than two decades, made his directorial debut with the 2002 movie Manasutho , which was headlined by Akash. He shot to fame with Gopichand 's Yagnam in 2004. The film, besides winning two Nandi Awards (Best Male Comedian and Best Female Comedian), was remade in two languages. Its box-office success helped Gopichand cement his position as a lead actor. Twenty years later, Ravi Kumar would make Tiragabadara Saami with Raj Tarun. That was his last movie. Nithiin-starrer Aatadista was released in 2008. Veerabhadra with Balakrishna was released in 2005. Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevatham , starring Sai Dharam Tej , was released in 2014. The director slowed down in the 2010s but hoped to make a thorough comeback. In 2024, he made public his plans to launch his own banner named after his daughter. He hoped to produce movies at a fast clip on the banner. Unfortunately, he didn't live long to see his dream become a reality. TFN condoles the demise of AS Ravi Kumar.
