The makers of ENE Repeat, the sequel to the cult favourite Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi, have started introducing the characters from the upcoming film, bringing the popular gang back into the spotlight. Written and directed by Tharun Bhascker, the film reunites Vishwak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam and Venkatesh Kakumanu, with Srinath Maganti returning as Karthik. The latest character posters are building curiosity around the sequel, which is set to arrive in theatres worldwide on November 19, 2026.
Vishwak Sen returns as Vivek, the filmmaker of the gang, with the makers introducing him through the tagline, “The man. The filmmaker. The Psycho.” His poster features a close-up of the actor wearing black sunglasses, with airline baggage tags attached to his hair and the frame of his glasses. The promotional material also features the dialogue, “Sachipoina paravale maata aithe padedi ledu,” adding a quirky touch to his character introduction.
Another reveal introduces Priyadarshini Ram as Muralidhar. His poster features him wearing dark sunglasses, with an airline baggage tag hanging over one lens. The makers have also shared an intriguing dialogue for the character: “Ala manishi laga ennalu anigi manigi untav? Be a beast, man, be a beast.” His role and presence in the gang’s flight journey have raised questions about who Muralidhar is and what he brings to the story.
Srinath Maganti is introduced as Karthik, a character previously played by Sai Sushanth Reddy in the original film. His poster features a close-up look with a visible scar above his eyebrow and an airline tag hooked over his sunglasses. The accompanying dialogue, “Speech isthunnava? Mundhe cheppu, ellipotha!” offers a glimpse of the character’s attitude and adds to the fun surrounding the reveals.
The recurring flight and baggage-tag theme across the posters hints at another journey for the gang, with Thailand expected to be part of their adventure. More character reveals are awaited, and the makers are gradually building anticipation for the sequel.
Released in 2018, Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi earned a cult following for its youthful humour, memorable characters and relatable portrayal of friendship. Its theatrical re-release further demonstrated its lasting popularity among audiences.
Produced by Srujan Yarabolu and Sandeep Nagireddy under S Originals and Rootnode Cinema, ENE Repeat features music by Vivek Sagar and cinematography by A. J. Aaron. With the familiar gang returning for a new adventure, the film is gearing up for its worldwide theatrical release on November 19, 2026.
